Basics of Music

Music has always encouraged me to live my life.

When I was in kindergarten, I saw my father, who loved music, moving his body like a conductor while listening to records.

I started learning the piano when I was in the middle grades of elementary school.

When I was in junior high and high school, I played the piano in a small house on the side of a small hill in Hishimachi, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.

Perhaps because of that, I decided to study music at university, learning piano and composition.

After graduating from university, I worked as a high school music teacher in Saitama Prefecture until I was 56 years old.

After that, I composed music at home while recovering from an illness, and am now 71 years old.

I will be posting on my website the wonderful things I have discovered about music over the course of my career, the types of compositions I have made, and how I compose them, so please feel free to take a look.
